Clare Flower

Accredited Practising Dietitian and Sports Dietitian

Clare completed a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at Flinders University in 2017. This led to a Health Sciences Honours degree in Sports Nutrition and a PhD on ‘Low Energy Availability in Elite Female Athletes’, both also completed at Flinders University.

Alongside her studies, Clare has worked in a professional sport at Adelaide Crows (AFL), provided corporate nutrition services and worked as an academic tutor. Throughout her research, she has worked with a variety of different athletes including elite gymnasts, A-league women’s soccer players, national dancers, AFLW players, and elite and recreational runners.

Currently besides providing dietetic services at The Sports Clinic, Clare is working at the New South Wales Institute of Sport (NSWIS) and the Sydney Kings/Sydney Flames. At NSWIS Clare works with the Men’s Hockey program and developing swimmers, providing individualised nutrition support to complement the other health and performance services provided. Clare also works with the Sydney Kings and Sydney Flames basketball clubs providing group and individual support to the players.

Clare works with a range of clients including athletes of all ages and abilities, as well as individuals with general nutrition concerns.
